CALLING ALL CAPTAINS!
SAVE THE DATE!
The third annual HandsOn Day is Saturday, October 16, 2010. On this one monumental day, you'll join hundreds of other volunteers by lending your HANDS ON support to improve Greater Richmond. Friends, neighbors, and families will come together and GIVE A DAY to transform our community by volunteering at 1 of 40+ nonprofits, schools, and parks. Activities will include park clean-up and restoration, housing rehab for elderly and disabled individuals, arts and crafts with seniors and children, dog rescue support, and many other projects to meet a variety of needs and interests.
HandsOn Greater Richmond needs YOU to make this day successful!
Each HandsOn Day project will have at least one Project Captain. What's a Project Captain? Essentially, they are the team’s host for the event. They set the tone, introduce people to HandsOn Greater Richmond and the nonprofit partner, and ensure a successful volunteer experience. It is the Project Captain's role to help the volunteers VOLUNTEER and have fun!
Registering to be a Project Captain is fast and easy:
1. Register to serve as a HandsOn Greater Richmond Day Project Captain.
2. Register for one of the upcoming Project Captain orientation sessions.
3. Have fun with your volunteer team on October 16th while making a difference for our community!
